The Music Documentary Is Dead…Long Live Arcade Fire’s Miroir Noir
Arcade Fire’s Miroir Noir is streaming for FREE on Pitchfork this week.
The film documents the band over the course of 2006 and 2007 in concert, in the studio, getting “artistic”, and a running gag/joke about their faux infomercial phone messages from fans (or band members?) marketing the release of their last album Neon Bible.
Pitchfork breaks the 70 minute film into 7 segments.
If you’re an Arcade Fire fan it goes without saying that you should watch this film which is mostly shot by La Blogotheque and Take Away Show documentarian Vincent Moon, so be prepared for grainy, artsy… oh lets just call it what it is, French filmmaking.
It’s pretty great. Part 5 experiences technical difficulties, skip it.
